The Celtic Team, with Antoine Moureaud organisor, had a splendid day with almost 130 participants in the different run's. The weather wasn't very good but it luckely didn't rain.
Benny Vansteelant (BEL) wasn't inscribed and other favorit Alessandro Alessandri (ITL) didn't show up so the way was free for the "lower" favorits; Pieter Helin (BEL), Strothman Dirk (GER) and Pschebizin Marco (GER) went away from the rest in the first 10 km run; the other followed not far away. During the 60 km bikerun the three athletes went further away from a group of four competitors Benny Coopmans (BEL), Fox Milos (CZR), Thorsten Langer (BEL) and Soerensen Stig Brahe (DEN).
Pieter Helin (BEL) left the first one the parc fermé voor the second 10 km run, 6 second away followed by Pschebizin Marco (GER) and Strothman Dirk (GER) followed another 6 seconds. After 5 km the two German athletes left Pieter behind and at the endline Pschebizin Marco (GER) had more than one minute advance for Strothman Dirk (GER). Pieter Helin (Bel) finished third. Pascal Jentges (Lux) was the first of his country. Their were also outstanding performances from Jeroen Swinnen (BEL) en Coopmans Benny (Bel)
The women race: Laetitia Mayon (Bel), Uebelhart Jacqueline (SUI) and Danielle Lentz (LUX) took the lead after the abandon of Hilde Wellens (BEL) who was a short time in second place. In the last bike lap Laetitia Mayon (Bel) went away from the others, she stayed well in front and won before Uebelhart Jacqueline (SUI) and Danielle Lentz (LUX)
The kids run's were very attractive, the oldest ones, 16-17 year, made a very fast course. Nice for the future.
